Fitek has become a member of Foreign Investors Council (FIC) in Serbia.

FIC is an independent business association that gathers foreign companies operating in Serbia. It promotes and develops competitive and sustainable business environment, gives practical recommendations on how to improve business climate and actively supports economic integration to EU. FIC has 12 working committees that gather representatives of member companies and we have the honor to be participating in two of the specialized committees: firstly, Telecommunications, and secondly, Digital and E-commerce committees. As a member of these committees, we will contribute to establishing platform for fruitful and regular communication with the authorities, which enables early access to the draft legislation, analyzing regulatory framework and draft legislation and formulation of proposals for their improvement, sharing positive practice and experience.

As a member of Digital and E-commerce committee, main focus will be on:

  • Legal framework enabling further development of digital and paperless economy
  • Digital education of citizens – increasing awareness and understanding of digital solutions for citizens

Main partners of the committee, among others, are Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, National Bank of Serbia, financial institutions.

“Being part of community and participating in such an important process as education of the market and legal framework formation is crucial for Fitek. We strive to help companies grow digitally and integrate financial automation solutions into the Serbian market,” says managing director of Fitek Serbia, Vladimir Ilić.

Telecommunications committee’s main priorities are supporting the Government in achieving their ambitions within digital agenda, adoption of the new regulatory framework, and main partners for achieving these goals are Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Telecommunications, RATEL and Ministry of Finance.

As one result of the committees’ work and expertise, FIC publishes annual edition of the White Book which provides the blueprint of the business climate in different business areas in Serbia, tracks developments, draws attention to issues to be addressed and gives valuable recommendations to improve it.

FIC Serbia unites around 120 members who are a driving engine of Serbian economy.
